What To Expect

I provide a safe and confidential space to explore and talk openly without discrimination or judgement. My clients are central to my work, and my practice was born from the desire to help people to feel fulfilled, empowered and happy in their lives, wherever they are and whatever they are doing.

I am an integrative therapist, but I largely follow a mix person centred, psychodynamic and CBT approaches. I believe that there is no universal approach to therapy. I build tailored, high quality sessions specifically for each client, to reflect his or her individual personality and needs. If we agree to work together, we may then consider for how long – it may be just a few sessions or on an open-ended basis.

I offer services in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Pushto. If you are considering therapy but you are uncertain of the methods and results, I offer a free 20 minute enquiry call in order to speak about your presenting issues and any questions you may have concerning therapy. We will also discuss the options available to you, from long-term therapy to short-term counselling. From our conversation I will help you to understand which type of treatment would suit you the most.

I charge £40 per session. (Negotiable)

Each Therapy session is 50 minutes long.

I follow the BACP's confidentiality guidelines; everything you tell me remains strictly between you and I.

If you cannot commit to weekly sessions, I would be happy to work with you on a flexible basis.

I also offer sessions via Skype, Zoom or telephone. This is something that we would also discuss during our initial consultation.

Online and Telephone Counselling

Ever since the pandemic hit the U.K (and the rest of the world!) in March 2020, therapies offered online and via telephone started to take off.

Benefits for telephone counselling:

Accessibility- it doesn't matter where you are, I am able to speak to  you regardless of location. You may live in a busy household; telephone counselling gives you the opportunity to leave your home and speak discreetly.

Convenience-you don't have to travel to see me, which saves time and money.

Privacy- telephone counselling provides extra discretion; I am not able to see you, and some find this comforting. In my experience, clients are able to open up and maybe disclose things they may not have in the knowledge that there is that extra anonymity.

Benefits of Online Counselling and Psychotherapy:

It can be comforting sharing difficult feelings and experiences in a space that is familiar to you.

Convenience- It could be said that it is both time friendly (you do not have to journey to meet your therapist) and cost effective (you are not spending money on travel).

Online therapy can provide a gentle first step into treatment, before you may consider face to face therapy.
